A day in the life of a Dental Hygienist at HSO:

• Coordinate patient intake and preparation for exam functions in a constant, steady fashion
• Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis
• Take patients vital signs and any radiographs needed for the exam, which may include a panorex, a full mouth series, bitewings, periapical or occlusal radiographs
• Conduct preliminary exam for dental decay, charts DMF teeth, and assesses OHI.
• Complete root planning and scaling procedures, completes topical fluoride application, applies sealants, completes dental recall procedures for adults and children

Youve got what it takes to be a HSO Dental Hygienist if you:

• Graduated from an ADA accredited dental hygiene school
• Are licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist by the Ohio Board of Dental Examiners
• Have a General operators license in Radiology
