IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A Delivery Driver with Warehouse experience.
Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking an organized and driven person to perform Delivery Driving (CDL preferred). Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. This individual should work well within a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver and pickup product to and from jobsites, customers, and suppliers
- Follow priorities and schedules for delivery as set by warehouse supervisors
- Ensure that cargo is properly secured and safely load, unload, and otherwise transfer the product
- Ensure that paperwork is properly completed and filed, including customer signed receiver copies, customer pack list copies, vendor purchase orders, tool repair tags, etc.
- Use RF scanners to indicate that orders are put on the truck or have been delivered
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment
- When not delivering to customers, will assist in the warehouse
Vehicle Responsibility:
- You will be driving a Internation 4300, single axle flatbed 24ft bed.
- Regularly inspect delivery vehicle for repair and maintenance needs
- Keep vehicle clean and free from damage
- Ensure that applicable logs, insurance and registration cards, and other vehicle documentation is current and accurate
Other Responsibilities:
- 2+ years driving history
- Previous experience driving in construction or similar related industries
- Work well with other warehouse departments, including receiving, shipping, dispatch, and order pulling, to ensure productive and efficient workflow in the warehouse
- Immediately report safety hazards and expected delivery delays to Supervisor Physical Requirements
- This position requires the employee to be seated in a vehicle for extended periods of time
- Employee must be in good physical condition, as they must frequently climb on top of loads, enter and exit the vehicle, crouch and squat, and load and unload product
- This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs., and to push up to 80 lbs.
- In the case of a CDL Driver, a current Medical Certificate issued by the Department of Transportation (DOT) is required Legal, Insurance or Certification Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required, and in some cases a commercial driver’s license (CDL) with DOT Medical Certificate
