Elevate your earning power through every training milestone approximately every 6 months within thefirst 18 months! *Includes hourly rate plus shift differential pay.Please apply with as much openavailability as possible!Position SummaryPerforms a wide variety of warehouse functions in typical GMP warehouse environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to material handling, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, transportation and stockroom duties.Operates forklift, box truck for short distances on site, and performs transactions in ERP warehouse management systems and quality management systems. Communicates using phone, radio, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.Job Responsibilities:GeneralDemonstrates commitment to the success of the department goals, supports the efforts of individuals, and teamwork in all aspects of job responsibilities.Contributes to team problem solving efforts.Performs all department operations consistently and has sufficient knowledge of job duties to act as SME for training purposes.Responsible for material handling support to meet customer needs within assigned building.Coordinates material movement on loading docks to coincide with production, supply chain, and plant engineering schedulesMaintains inventories of shipping, receiving, and material handling supplies necessary for the conduct of daily routinesUses safe working methods/procedures at all times to avoid personal injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property, preparing hazardous waste for shipment and/or loading hazardous waste onto transport units at a Certified level of proficiency, the employee conducts the more difficult assignments, provides input on work procedures and guides the work of others.ShippingDetailed knowledge of all Shipping operations, procedures, and documentationAbility to identify, troubleshoot and correct any inventory and/or documentation discrepanciesUses Kindeva systems to prepare and expedite special shipper requests (i.e.

machinery, books, drug samples, chemicals, etc.) insuring proper packaging, labeling and documentation requirements for allowable modes of shipmentCompletes appropriate ERP transactions and generates documents for shipmentsUtilizes established procedures for shipment of hazardous materialsVerifies both hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste shipments for proper packaging, certification, labeling and marking needed to meet all EPA, ICC and DOT state and federal regulations.Interfaces with FEDEX.Understands their equipment and software programs sufficiently to solve non-routine/unusual problems.Utilizes handheld barcode scanners to read barcodes and record transactions in ERP system.Operates automated pallet wrapper equipment to prepare pallets of materials,product and waste materials for shipment.ReceivingDetailed knowledge of all Receiving operations, procedures, material tracking systems, and documentationAbility to identify, troubleshoot and correct any transaction, tracking system, inventory, and/or documentation discrepanciesInterface with UPS and FedEx to receive goods including controlled substancesInterfaces with buyers, suppliers, and customers to schedule receipt, and/or delivery, of raw materials, equipment, hazardous shipments, etc.Interfaces with Quality engineers for disposition of documented freight claim damagesSchedule appointments for receipt of raw material, equipment, etc.StockroomDetailed knowledge of receiving, stocking, and issue out processes of stockroomAbility to identify, troubleshoot and correct any inventory and/or documentation discrepanciesPhysically move goods from receiving locations to stockroomPut away goods and do corresponding ERP transactions. Count and verify quantities physically in stock and verify ERP systemIssue out in ERP system from manual records and log sheets. Count and verify quantities physically in stock and verify ERP systemPut away returns physically in stockroom and do ERP system transactionReplenish other stocking locations within productionManage small equipment components that require repair, package for shipmentPick up recycled batteries from various locations within the plantContributes to team problem solving effortsRequired Skills & ExperienceHigh school/G.E.D.

level of education3-5 years related job experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, transportation, and cycle counting; Specialized knowledge of warehouse principles where the process depends on the ability to detect and correct shipping, receiving, and material handling operations.Forklift certified or ability to become certified within first 30 days of employment in either standup or sitdown style or bothValid California's Driver's LicenseIntermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft office and ERPPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience using and operating basic warehouse tools and equipment such as: Barcode scan gun, automated pallet wrapper, delivery cart, box truck, hand operated pallet jack, environmental control monitoring systems, docking systems.Prior GMP or other regulated manufacturingor distribution work environmentConversant with following company policies and proceduresStrong understanding of material flow, GMP guidelines, accuracy and cycle counting.Prior use of Microsoft D365 ERP SystemDemonstrated intermediate to advanced forklift operation (sit down and stand up) up to the level of certified trainer.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
