Griffith Centers is hiring a Day Mental Health Technician for the Education Department as a full-time employee in Colorado Springs, CO.
As a Day Mental Health Technician, you will provide individual and group guidance services to residential clients with scholastic, educational, personal, and/or social issues. This role will be responsible for supervising clients during routine therapeutic living activities and will report to the Interim Director of Residential Program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group guidance services to residential clients with scholastic, educational, personal, and/or social issues
- Supervise clients during routine therapeutic living activities to include recreational and leisure activities within the boundaries of behavior systems, policies and procedures, and clinical needs
- Implement all relevant policies and procedures regarding routine lodge activities including but not limited to: clean up, laundry, personal hygiene, grooming, manners, etc.
- Participates in and follows intervention protocols specific to Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) including and up to physical restraint
- Assists in the transportation of clients as necessary per agency’s request as the Residential Mental Health Technician
- Assists clients in treatment process to include social skills development, life skills development, and anger management
- Mandatory Reporter of Abuse (reports any and all concerns related to client care, safety and protection)
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate of Arts Degree or High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 year of youth residential facility experience
- Able to effectively provide mental health services in a culturally and linguistically
- competent manner
- Required to assist with physical management (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention)

Pay Rate: $17.00
Upon approval, a sign-on incentive based on position for $500. It will be given in two payments: within two pay cycles of $250 after 90 days and $250 after 182 days.
