Form of work- Compiles data from a variety of sources for the purpose of developing databases from primary and secondary data.
- Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains databases.
- Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams, generates data dictionaries, and documents the process.
- Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including storage procedures.
- Supports senior research staff in project management.
- Updates existing databases to better serve the research projects.
- Is responsible for maintaining data-related regulatory requirements needed for the University of Utah, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Defense, to name but a few.
- Assists in the preparation of manuscripts and presentation materials.
- Edits project reports and publication materials.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Preferences- Experience with health sciences and/or experience with Veterans.
- At least two years of related experience in research and background in engineering, math, clinical informatics, or computer science
