Description:
In this role, the candidate will model and design canonical data structures for various Insurance products/data to be onboarded to a common business conformed layer. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate solid canonical, logical, and physical modeling skills and ability to work under condensed timelines to deliver on critical requirements. Creative problem-solving skills and strong communication and collaboration skills are needed for effective partnership with internal application area.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $122,000- $132,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Description:
In this role, the candidate will model and design canonical data structures for various Insurance products/data to be onboarded to a common business conformed layer. Responsibilities
- Working with the Business Units to identify the data requirements
- Implement the identified requirement in the canonical, logical, and physical/schema models (XSD or JSON)
- Create mapping documents showing data movement, in partnership with the sourcing system or consuming system developers
Qualifications
- 15+ Yrs of total experience in Data modeling for Data Lake/Data Warehouse/Data Marts.
- 3+ years experience in Data Vault modeling approach
- Expert knowledge of Data warehouse/mart design methodologies Data Vault and Dimensional modeling in particular
- Working knowledge of Data Engineering design patterns and BI Reporting design approaches
- Experience working with data modeling tools
- Proven expertise with logical modeling principles
- Strong consensus-building skills
- Proven track record of operating in an Agile environment
