As an intern on the Computational Research at Sumitovant Biopharma, you will be part of a team using data-driven approaches to streamline business and clinical development. In support of this effort, the Real World Data (RWD) team has been working on an Network Meta-analysis (NMA) infrastructure that provides better clinical efficacy landscape for a given indication. Given recent developments in generative AI and subsequently the latest release of GPT-3.5 model (i.e., ChatGPT), we are using ChatGPT to generate biomedical and clinical documents into user intuitive graphs and analysis. The main objective of this internship is to collaborate with our team on the information extraction, information retrieval, and summarizing of clinical trials data.
We are also interested in building a UI for internal usage to a potentially larger audience than within the Computational Research team. By the end of this internship, we expect efficiency improvements in our current clinical efficacy landscaping pipelines and findings to be applied to future business development tasks.

About You:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in Computer Science)
- Programming experience in Python
- Website scraping experience highly valued
- GPT experience highly valued
- NLP experience highly valued
- Experience with Clinical Trials data is a plus
- Passionate about our mission to systematically reduce the time, cost and risk of delivering new medicines to market
- Self-motivated, proactive and thrive in ambiguous situations
- Authorized to work in the United States
