Data Manager II

 

Cherokee Nation Operational Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Data Manager II to join the team at the CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing CMS Medicaid data, creating and documenting analysis variables and datasets, and generating reports to contribute to a comprehensive report comparing estimates and impacts. The position involves utilizing MarketScan and HCUP databases, performing statistical analyses, estimating incident rates, and collaborating on TBI-related projects. The Data Manager II will also be responsible for managing data deliveries, conducting quality assurance, and ensuring accuracy in analysis reporting. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, natural science, or a related field, along with 5-10 years of Data Management experience.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Data Manager II

Pay commensurate with experience.

 

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

 

Data Manager II Responsibilities Include: 

  Utilize CMS Medicaid data for analysis

Create and document analysis variables and datasets

Generate reports on prevalence estimates, confidence intervals, and odds ratios

Assess complex survey data sources and quality assurance processes

Log receipt of data deliveries, quality assurance issues, and program files

Utilize MarketScan and HCUP databases for statistical analysis

Estimate incident rates and perform statistical analysis on TBI cases

Perform other job-related duties as assigned 

 

Data Manager II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, natural science, or related field
5-10 years of Data Management experience
Experience with HCUP data and CMS
SAS Analytics Software experience required
MS-Office experience required
Advanced proficiency in MS Project and SharePoint
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous CDC experience highly desired
Must be a U.S. Citizen
