Data Engineering Intern

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineering Intern. The DE&I Internship Program is a 12-week program providing students with the opportunity to gain corporate experience, get a first-hand look at the day-to-day operations of a Super Regional Insurance Company, and prepare students with the experience needed to have a rewarding career at CopperPoint.

In your role, you will support the Data Engineering team by:

• The Data Engineering team at Copperpoint collaborates with data management and engineering teams to design, build, and scale high-leverage datasets that enable analytics, modeling, and experimentation.
• These critical datasets directly inform how we identify opportunities, measure success, and drive decision-making.
• What you'll be doing Design, implement, and deploy new data pipelines and Architect data models with massive and complex data; build data expertise to balance ergonomic benefits with system performance Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to understand product goals and data needs Develop audits for data quality at scale, implementing alerting and anomaly detection as necessary
• You'll Thrive in This Role If You Are/Have proficient in SQL, Python, or similar programming language Knowledge of database systems and data modeling Knowledge of modern data storage and processing technologies along with ETL.
• Able to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment Top-notch communication skills to collaborate with individuals and teams Bonus Points

As our ideal candidate you are:

• A current college undergraduate in their sophomore or junior year.
• Planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year.
• A resident of or attending a school in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, or Washington

Salary Range:

• $25 per hour

Benefits:

• The intern will accrue 0.0692 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour.
