Summary
The Service Lane Technology Lean (SLTL) Consultant will support the activities of the SLT Consultant, Service Business Performance team, Region staff and Dealer Parts and Service Managers (DPSMs) in each region by further developing and identifying more efficient processes in the SLT Program. SLTL Consultant will help the SLT consultant to develop improved new supplier onboarding processes (data integration process and troubleshooting) so HMA can continue to grow the SLT program beyond the current three (3) suppliers. Identify and improve current service strategies/procedures with dealership personnel to further increase Dealer profitability, customer satisfaction, and customer service retention.
What Your Day-to- Day Responsibilities Include:
Support SLT, DPSM and Dealer personnel to find more efficient processes/best practices/features/benefits/available KPIs/as inquiries are received in:
Service Lane & Service Bay Technology
Service Appointment Website Application
Deferred Service Work Follow-Up Process
Assist Hyundai Dealers in completing multi-point inspections within “Quarter Time℠”.Train the DPSM to review Key Performance Indicators with Dealer management in:
Total work identified during inspections, Total work sold on day, Average work sold per MPI
Time in section, Total sold on follow-up, new supplier on-boarding
Region support materials (ex. DPSM flashcards) as the new suppliers are On-boarded
Train the Region & DPSMs on the new supplier features and KPI’s
Work on training materials with PTS for SLT web training
Work with the new supplier in the Data integration process and troubleshooting
Communicate the new supplier availability and sign on process to the Dealer
Monitor for integration issues and work as a liaison between the Supplier, HMA and Dealer body
Share best practices, ideas, success stories, and analysis techniques during individual Dealer contacts and district workshops.
Travel as necessary, including overnights
Complete other special assignments, if necessary, as agreed upon in writing with HMA and Supplier
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
Must use correct grammar, pronunciation, and clearly speak the language(s) required by the position
Must be a good listener as well as a good communicator
Appropriate conversation style and manner, both in person and over the phone
Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office products and must be familiar with automotive software systems including knowledge of Dealership Management Systems (DMS)
Understanding of the operation and integration of the dealership management systems currently in use at dealerships today and 3rd party service focused web applications
Knowledge and operation of service tools currently being utilized in dealerships today. Examples of tools include electronic inspection systems, web-based appointment schedulers, and tablet based write up applications
Must have extensive experience in automotive Service, Parts, and Inventory operations processes
Knowledge of Dealership Operations
Overall knowledge of how the different departments within an automotive dealership interacts, i.e. service and parts; sales and service
Understands the importance and meaning of good customer service and consistently demonstrates the best customer service possible.
Potential long periods of standing, walking, leaning, moving etc.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Work Environment
Loud, noisy, busy automotive service drive, repair and maintenance shop
