Data Analyst - Central Regional Hospital

We are currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst I to function as a Data Analyst for Central Regional Hospital. This position is responsible for assisting administrative and clinical leaders in the maintenance of complex information systems in support of the service delivery activities of Central Regional Hospital. This position works closely with hospital leaders to gather, edit, analyze and report data/information in relation to research projects, performance improvement initiatives and regulatory activities. In support of these functions, this position is responsible for creation and maintenance of database applications, including the systematic analysis of data integrity, preparation of reports, adverse trending and development of appropriate recommendations and conclusions. This position has the ability to maintain quality control and assurance in relation to the myriad of databases and systems currently utilized by the Quality Management Department. This position is responsible for participating in ongoing Quality Management databases as well as ORYX Data Submission and support to the Quality Management Incident Reporting System.

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package. The normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.

Qualified applicants must possess and application clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:

Knowledge of computer-assisted statistical programs and working knowledge of statistical analysis of data.
Knowledge of capabilities of data processing systems in gathering, storing, retrieving, and analyzing data.
Ability to communicate effectively with professional and administrative personnel to determine their needs.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies/procedures.
Ability to assess the validity of information obtained from data gathering instruments.
Ability to analyze data and to draw conclusions from the analysis pertaining to the purpose of the project.
Ability to present information effectively, orally, and in writing.
Ability to take data from diverse data sources, establish relationships between databases, and presenting it together as one source for use
Intermediate to Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and Access.
ADA physical requirements will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
