Are you a cybersecurity professional looking to manage a group of talented security risk analysts and IT specialists? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Cybersecurity Division (CSD). The Information Technology Manager (ITM) I will serve as Integrated Risk Management Unit manager responsible for managing daily risk management operations.
The ITM I will organize, plan and direct risk management activities of the EDD CSD Information Security analysts. The work performed by the analysts include: risk management, information security consults, security awareness training, and incident reporting.
The ITM I will contribute to the growth of the Information Technology Branch into a customer-focused service organization by developing professional relationships, providing feedback to others with the Branch.
This position is headquartered in downtown Sacramento, California and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee."."

Working Conditions

  • When in office: business dress, according to current office policy;
  • When teleworking: incumbent will be required to support a work from home environment. Incumbent is expected to maintain a secure workspace within their home and support necessary logistical requirements to support remote video conferencing and remote work. All work materials must be maintained in a secure environment;
  • Use a computer to communicate and prepare written materials;
  • Must pass a security background check and fingerprinting check as a condition of employment with the CSD;

Statement of Qualifications Requirements
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ is not a resume or cover letter.

    Background Investigation Requirement
