TDI is seeking a Cybersecurity DB Developer to join our team with hands on database development expertise for a Department of Defense (DoD) client and their Cybersecurity Operations efforts. This position requires an Active Secret Clearance and is located in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop time estimates to complete development tasks based on functional requirement descriptions
- Translate functional requirements into technical solutions that can be implemented within a database environment
- Develop and maintain a relational database or databases that perform the following functions:
- Ingest data from HBSS, ACAS, eMASS and other DoD data sources via manual or automated methods.
- Support ad-hoc queries by users against the data sets as determined by functional requirements
- Create data models, database metrics reports, and dashboards.
- Host a ship policy repository of cybersecurity Standard operating procedures, policies, scanning results, incident reports and cybersecurity posture reports.
- Identifies trends and generate alerts for systems not within the cybersecurity baseline (e.g., USB violations, STIG configuration issues).
- Implement other functions as requested by the customer
- Develop and maintain the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process to support database and data operations.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years of experience in a programmer position
- Active Secret clearance
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Prefer at least 1 year working in an Agile environment, or 2 years working independently delivering technical solutions to functional requirements.
- Required software development and administration experience: use of APIs, SQL92+, Tableau, HTML, Visual Basic, & MS Access.
- Certifications required: DODI-8570 – IAT Level II - (Security+ or equivalent)
