PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Cyber Analyst position will be an embedded team member of an engineering team, defining security requirements prior to design, testing and validating throughout development, and compiling accreditation documentation. Additional responsibilities include:
- Provides the oversight, establishment, and management of the security policies for network and system security, physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness
- Organizes and managing efforts for a additional Assessment Authorization (A A) activities
- Reviews ACAS vulnerability scans, create POA M's and mitigation plans as needed
- Provides hands on assistance with systems, applications, and networks to help resolve issues when needed
- Develops system level documentation, as needed
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, Systems, Network, or Industrial Engineering; Computer Science; Information Technology or Assurance; Cybersecurity.
- Five (5) or more years direct experience with:
- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls, Risk Management Framework (RMF), DIACAP, and other Navy / DoD security compliance processes
- Supporting system Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, creating artifacts, control implementation details, and POAMs
- Cyber tools and applications, including eMASS, VRAM, Nessus ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, STIG viewer, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance, ability to upgrade to Top Secret+
- Eligible for CSWF IAT II (Security+ Min)
DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience directly supporting large Navy or Tactical networks a plus
- Desire for process improvement
- CISSP or equivalent certification
