- Monitor computer networks and systems for threats and security risk.
- Recommend/Suggest, alter, and update security software and firewalls rules.
- Test systems for potential vulnerabilities
- Develop systems and processes for security best practices throughout the cooperative.
- Prepare reports on security incidents and potential threats.
- Work across the team to suggest new and proactive ways of working to protect the cooperative.
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products. Recommended qualifications are from a Cyber environment or equivalent.
- Working technical knowledge of EDR, IDS, IPS, NAC, Nessus Scanner (Vuln Management), Email protection, NMAP, Wireshark, LINUX, SIEM (Chronicle) Azure Event Hub solutions
- Deep understanding of TTP’s and Incident Response frameworks. MITRE attack framework knowledge a plus.
- Experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws.
- A broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, antivirus software, and IDPs.
- The ability to identify and spotlight vulnerabilities on on-premises/cloud and remote networks, correct problems, and prevent security incidents.
- Responsibility and conscientiousness, including proper management of patches to defray business impact while keeping security protocols up to date.
- The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing our cooperative to flourish.
- Recent software/hardware engineering knowledge is a big plus.

- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Collaborate with product owners, system owners, data governance, and subject matter experts to gather requirements for new systems, enhancements, and projects within functional area.
- Document and diagram existing system processes
- Translate functional system requirements into technical requirements working with a system architect and the development resources of agile team.
- Collaborate within the agile team to perform analysis of tools and configuration changes that increase our overall security posture and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of security enhancements and projects within current system and business processes.
- Coordinate and perform use case tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support of new security tools or configuration changes.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for changes derived from new security protocols, enhancements, and projects including writing documentation and training.
- Provide support and research for escalation of application errors or questions working with developers, end-users, and the service desk.
- Analyze existing systems to determine more secure implementation for our environment.

- Education: 2-year tech degree or 4-year tech/computer science degree
