Description

Position Summary:

The Customer Engagement Representative (CER) position is an inside sales hunter position, responsible for making outbound calls and engaging with potential and existing customers to generate and/or qualify leads, to introduce ALMO ProAV solutions and services, and identify sales opportunities. When customer/prospect agrees to engagement, CER will set up customers/prospects to meet with an Account Manager. In addition, the CER will attempt to have prospects open a dealer account.

This position has a direct impact on gaining market share in the ProAV channel. NBT is an excellent foundation upon which to build your career with promotion opportunities into the ProAV sales force and NBT members will receive ongoing coaching and development from the NBT leaders.

What you will do in this role:
  • Initiate outbound calls to prospective and existing customers, typically on leads generated from manufacturer partners, Almo E4 events or other conferences, from direct end-user or ALMO reseller inquiries, as well as ALMO-initiated campaigns/promotions.
  • Articulate ALMOs value proposition and offerings and overcome objections from prospects.
  • Utilize email to transmit and receive information for account set-up, to create meeting invitations, and other communications.
  • Participate in video meetings and trainings.
  • Obtain information from customer/prospect, maintain activities in SalesForce and/or other CRM system to demonstrate successful progress of engagement pipeline and metrics.
  • Build strong rapport with customers by phone and email to understand their objectives and initiate engagement towards development of long-lasting relationships.


Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to persuade and influence others to reach a specific objective/ course of action
  • Possess the competencies of self-direction, showing initiative, establishing trust, active listening, overcoming resistance, being resilient against challenges
  • Display a passion for winning and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sales and/or sales administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in the AV industry a major plus, but not required
  • Proven track record of being customer-centric and initiating prospect/customer engagement
  • Ability to network within a customer organization to identify all key influencers and decision makers
  • Ability to multi-task and exceed customer expectations and responsiveness
  • Sound analysis and critical decision making skills
