We are seeking a Custom Framer /Gallery Assistant to join our team. As a Custom Picture Framer/Gallery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our framing gallery. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for art and design to contribute to the success of our gallery.
Responsibilities:
- Using different types of equipment and machinery necessary to build custom frames.
- Assist with the installation and deinstallation of art exhibitions
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gallery space
- Greet and engage with visitors, providing information about the artwork and artists
- Process sales transactions and assist with inventory management
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Manage social media accounts and create engaging content to promote gallery events and exhibitions
- Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and scheduling appointments
Skills:
- some knowledge of basic building materials, equipment such as table saws, drills, etc.
- Proficiency in taking measurements, understanding fractions And basic math skills.
- Proficiency in typography and graphic design principles
- Experience with design software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Maya, Adobe Premiere
- Knowledge of video production techniques and editing software
- Familiarity with web design principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of interior design concepts is a plus
