To oversee designated crew and ensure that laboratory goals and assignments are completed in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Assist in training, method development, operation and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
To oversee designated crew and ensure that laboratory goals and assignments are completed in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Assist in training, method development, operation and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Conduct safety meeting/lineout crew.
- Data Entry/Reporting/Training.
- Supervise the preparation and analysis of samples /assay/met.
- Safety Audits/5x5.
- Operate and Maintain Assay and Met lab equipment.
- Counseling/guidance.
- QAQC
- Work cohesively with other crews to help facilitate a safe and productive environment.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience in a chemical/analytical laboratory.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Applicant must have a minimum Tech Level of 4.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Previous Related Work Experience Tech level 4 or above.
- Needs to be familiar with the operation, maintenance of Perkin Elmer AA's, Leco, , Boyd Crusher, Ring and Puck Pulverizer, Fire Assay, Fusion Furnace, Acid Digestions, digestion for Soluble copper, QLT, fluorine analysis, Gravimetric Moly analysis, basic Wet lab/lab practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee designated crew and ensure that laboratory goals and assignments are completed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Heavy lifting: Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Medium Work.
- Long periods of standing
- Ability to wear a respirator
