New Developed Nations is seeking a passionate Peer Support Specialist with experience in audio engineering. This role involves innovating behavioral health services by incorporating music therapy, including lyric writing, music production, poetry, journaling, and creative writing. The specialist will serve as a role model to youth, assisting them in their recovery process and helping them gain greater independence and community integration.
Qualifications include a minimum high school diploma (Bachelor’s in a relevant field preferred), experience in music production and audio engineering (Cubase or Pro Tools), at least one year of experience with youth, and the ability to work with diverse populations. The role requires registration with the Washington State Department of Health as a counselor and passing a criminal background check. Applicants must be 21 or older and have a valid driver's license.
Core responsibilities include providing outreach, engagement, and support to clients, using personal recovery experiences to guide peers, coordinating peer support systems, and facilitating activities.
