Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks. Used for jobs with a higher market rate than standard tech jobs.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate should be pursuing a bachelor's or a master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM related field.
3+ months Coursework, Internship and/or experience in any of the following areas:
Solid proven knowledge of at least one programming/scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, Perl, Ruby.
Digital design, ASIC/SoC/FPGA design flow and computer architecture.
Debug capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hardware description languages (such as VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog).
Functional coverage concepts and implementation, Basic testbench development and test scenarios writing.
Skills pertaining to pre-Si validation, examples include: logic simulators (Xilinx, Quartus, Modelsim, VCS, EDA-Playground).
