Position DescriptionThe Court Coordinatoris appointed by and reports to the Honorable DaSean Jones, Presiding Judge of the 180th District Court.Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures the Court's policies and procedures are followed by all parties. Performs daily docket management that requires use of various case management applications, forms, and reports. Assists the judge with petit and grand jury operations. Serves as liaison between the judge and stakeholders (i.e., the District Attorney's Office, the District Clerk's Office, the Community Supervision and Corrections Department, Pretrial Services Office, the Sheriff's Office, and other governmental agencies as required). Monitors and manages case events and activities that assist the judge in effective case management. Performs other duties as assigned.Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employerhttps://hrrm.harriscountytx.gov/Pages/EqualEmploymentOpportunityPlan.aspxIf you need special services or accommodations, please call (713) 274-5445 or email ADACoordinator@bmd.hctx.netRequirementsEducation and Experience:Group A Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Administration) from an accredited college or universityOR Experience working directly with the Courts (i.e., clerk, law clerk, briefing clerk)OR Graduate of paralegal school with two (2) years Para experience in a field related to the positionGroup B Minimum three years as a clerk in a court of general jurisdictionOR Minimum of five (5) years' experience in court related fieldOR Graduate of paralegal school.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of: The criminal case flow process, docket management, and the criminal justice process.Skill in: Monitoring and organizing information and data. Generating reports from various case management applications.Ability to: Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate effectively, both orally and written. Use the following applications: JWEB, TDC portal, DC Analytics, FDAMS, Caseload Explorer, DEEDS, Jury imaging system, justice application reports, and ERTS.
