To manage and analyze the courier service and logistical operations which will use the maximization of resources (human and automated) to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.
- Supervises all courier activities and performance.
- Monitors the hiring, disciplinary action, firing and annual performance reviews and is responsible for courier payroll.
- Maintains and enforces quality standards – reviews QA data for courier operation, STAT expectations and error rates.
- Negotiates contracts and compensation with clients (e.g. Company)
- Manages all vehicle purchasing, maintenance, repairs, gasoline contract(s) and consumption for all company vehicles.
- Demonstrates high levels of customer service (internal and external)
- Develops and manages Company Courier budgets/P&L.
- Identifies and Manages all technology related to Business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of Five years of previous transportation experience in a management position preferred.
- Requires previous experience and/or training in a customer service field.
- Human relations skills critical as position requires dealing extensively with regulatory personnel, referral sources, and corporate level personnel.
- Position requires working independently with minimum direction to obtain goals and objectives set.
