Position Summary:
The Manager of Corporate Communications will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing high impact communication strategies that support and promote employee and customer engagement and the achievement of key business objectives.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Lead internal communications to promote employee engagement, generate organizational pride and ensure alignment with business goals; support related engagement projects such as customer and employee engagement surveys with effective communication strategies.
- Collaborate with the C-Suite to create briefing documents, key messages and presentations for annual leadership meetings.
- Create engaging video content to effectively cascade messaging from company leadership throughout the organization.
- Promote communication and alignment throughout the organization by providing a framework and talking points for monthly plant-wide meetings.
- Translate financial reports into meaningful insights for our internal audience.
- Handle crisis communications, both internally and externally, as needed.
- Seek out stories from leadership, team members, and our local manufacturing plants to showcase/highlight our "bright spots of effectiveness" to promote company culture and effective implementation of business objectives.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure alignment between internal and external communications and other marketing efforts.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of developments in the corrugated packaging industry and our customers' business segments to foster ideas and stay attuned to business headwinds/tailwinds.
- Assist in creating or editing content for the company's digital communication channels, including the company website and social media platforms.
- Develop internal communication campaigns (emails, newsletters, videos) to support alignment and engagement among employees.
- Strive to continually strengthen PCA's business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectations. This includes supporting our commitment to service which involves doing what's right for our customers, specifically focusing on strategies that add value and support growth; and keeping the promises that we make.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- 8+ years of experience with evidence of increasing responsibility in communications, preferably in B2B and/or large industrial manufacturing organizations.
- Excellent communicator who can organize, summarize, clarify and communicate ideas simply, succinctly and accurately.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong PowerPoint capabilities with demonstrated experience in developing visually compelling presentations.
- Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights and conclusions.
- Ability to maintain brand standards and voice & tone with stellar attention to detail and flawless grammar.
- Entrepreneurial & collaborative mindset combined with the ability to navigate a large organization and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel to various locations when required and has a valid U.S. driver's license.
