This position provides strategic internal communications to support Chevron's Asset Performance & Process Safety (APPS) and Facilities Designs & Solutions (FDS) functions within the Chevron Technical Center. The position is also responsible for executive communications and employee engagement support for the APPS and FDS Vice President roles.

As the Communications Advisor for the Chevron Technical Center you will:

  • Develop and execute communication plans to inform and engage the APPS and FDS functions on organizational priorities.
  • Execute the Communications Strategy and identify opportunities for growth through influence, innovation, and optimization.
  • Develop and implement executive communications to support the Vice Presidents of FDS and APPS, including key message development, executive letters, executive talking points, speeches, presentation development, webcast/video development, and town hall/event coordination and materials development for key leader meetings.
  • Develop communication materials for broad distribution across the workforce, including emails, reports, and digital content.
  • Coordinate external materials, including content for the external website, external speeches, and media interviews in partnership with the Corporate Departments Communications and broader Corporate Affairs team.
  • Support critical business issues and key initiatives, as required, while developing and leveraging innovative solutions.
  • Maintain internal and external digital content by working closely with the Corporate Affairs Communications Advisors and design team to implement regular updates/changes.
  • Work across Corporate Affairs to ensure communication deliverables align with corporate and organization standards and messages.
  • Participate in ongoing team meetings, and partner closely with other CTC Communications Advisors as needed.


Requirements
  • 8+ Years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Expertise in internal and external communications.
  • Proven experience developing communications products for external audiences and internal senior leaders, able to lead audience to deeper level of understanding on complex topics and use experience and knowledge to capture inferences beyond the scope of the spoken word.
  • Ability to translate technical jargon into simple, easy to understand language.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and work independently and with teams in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to build plans, manage and successfully execute multiple deliverables with tight turnaround times.
  • Experience translating business objectives, goals and strategies into communications strategies, plans and tactics.
  • Ability to work with executives to establish effective communications strategies.
  • Experience successfully implementing and delivering communications strategies and plans. Being a self-starter who brings creative solutions is essential for this role.
