Assist with management of global trademark enforcement matters, with focus on anti-counterfeiting and other criminal and administrative actions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with directing and working with local counsel, investigators, government agencies, and law enforcement in 60+ countries
- Work with IP Rights group to identify high value targets for coordinated civil and criminal actions
- Assist with enforcement activities for Jewel Events, including liaising with MLB Security, Club personnel, investigators, local government officials
- Assist with enforcement matters jointly addressed/handled with other sports leagues
- Assist with training law enforcement, investigators and local counsel on MLB enforcement protocols and procedures
- Prepare C&D letters for civil trademark infringement
- Assist with special projects as directed by senior management
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of trademark law as it relates to the identifying of and enforcement against counterfeit goods
- Facility with standard office software, databases, and other project tracking software
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
- Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of in-house and external business groups, attorneys and staff
- The following is beneficial though not necessary:
- Knowledge of issues related to global anti-counterfeiting and brand protection
- Experience working with domestic and international customs agencies
- Experience working with outside counsel throughout the world on IP enforcement
- Experience working with investigators, and law enforcement

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $55,500 to $70,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
