The Role:

The Contract Manager role is responsible for (i) preparing, negotiating, and managing a wide spectrum of commercial and vendor agreements, (ii) providing cross-functional team support through negotiations, (iii) implementing contract lifecycle management systems and (iv) improving overall contract processes. This individual is responsible for the overall management of the contracting process with a high priority on timely and efficient throughput while ensuring conformance with defined corporate guidelines. This individual will manage the end-to-end contracting lifecycle from initial signing to termination as well as implementation of contract management systems and improvement of contracts process.

The Responsibilities:

• Drafts and manages redlines for all customer and vendor agreements, in compliance with contracts playbook and internal policies, and in coordination with outside legal counsel.
• Facilitates internal contract review, approval and execution, including improvements to existing processes for efficiency
• Assists in establishing and maintaining legal systems and processes, including development and implementation of effective legal and contract process protocols.
• Serves as the primary liaison with outside counsel on commercial contracts, where appropriate.
• Coordinates with clients to ensure terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations. 
• Responds to legal-specific questions related to RFP/RFI bids and assist in responses.
• Maintain record-keeping of all contracts in designated database(s) including maintaining contract files, performing data entry, project set up and closeouts. 

The Desired Attributes: 

• At least 5 years of experience as a contract manager with specific experience in drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must have experience evaluating, implementing, and managing contract lifecycle management systems.
• GDPR experience preferred.
• Notary Public preferred.
