Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) is looking for motivated self-starter to drive the continued transformation of our corporate market strategy and digital content production efforts. Part educator and part changemaker, this opportunity will get you a front seat at the helm of making history in the industry, all while broadening your creative horizons as a writer!

The Digital Content Specialist will own the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats for the ATS commercial shipper audience. The ultimate goal of these efforts is to increase website traffic and drive engagement, qualified lead generation, lead nourishment, customer retention, and establish ATS as the most trusted voice in transportation. He/she will also have proven experience in and an obsession for content performance, reporting, and analytics.

The Digital Content Specialist will lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, in all forms, to build credibility with the shipper audience while they are researching transportation options to drive new business.

Required Skills, Experience, Education and Abilities:

1. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field.

2. Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language.

3. Strong understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.

4. Training as a print or broadcast journalist is a bonus. Great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.

5. Ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.

6. A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach.

7. Ability to clearly articulate the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.

8. Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within ongoing campaigns.

9. Familiarity with principles of marketing.

10. Proven experience using website content management systems and marketing automation tools.

11. Incredible people skills. (you will be interviewing people a lot!)

12. Willingness to take the initiative to continually learn the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions and content best practices.

13. Ability to screen out sales pitches and look for the underlying questions/fears/worries/concerns and shipper story.

14. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Google Docs required.

15. Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.

16. Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.

17. Must be able to think both creatively and objectively to provide creative contributions and solutions to projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Publish three or more new pieces of content, be it text (blog articles), video, or audio (podcasts) per week.

2. Arrange and interview internal subject matter experts for content.

3. Project manage and write content for inbound marketing efforts, including email nurture campaigns, case studies, podcasts, web content, landing pages, newsletters, automated workflows, and so on.

4. Develop and own all analytics and reporting for content marketing efforts, including providing by-asset and monthly overall reports and summarizing results for leadership.

5. Spearhead and proactively perform search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for website and content, including writing original content optimized for search engines.

6. Assist in the development of social media strategies and video/editorial calendars for buyer community engagement and long-term content promotion of assigned team's related content

7. Generate premium content, promotions, including ebooks, videos, guides, case studies, white papers, webinars, etc.

8. Create landing pages and conversion opportunities for lead generation. This includes development of testing scenarios to determine optimum performance and ongoing maintenance as needed.

9. Identify need and perform general website updates and enhancements, e.g. new pages and calls-to-action placement. Procure approval for technical enhancements and engage, inform and direct required resources for web updates beyond their own abilities.

10. Proactively seek out and engage in professional development and continued education in relevant areas, including staying abreast of new tools being released. (e.g., HubSpot / Google certifications)
