Position Summary
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Content Quality Specialist (CQS) on one of our client teams. The CQS will regularly engage with stakeholders in marketing, operations, legal, regulatory, medical, and at agencies. The CQS will document and confirm accuracy of content corrections and alignment across all channels to maximize on-time review and approval for promotional materials. Scope of work is across all US Business Units (Respiratory, Immunology, Oncology, Vaccines, Infectious Disease, & ViiV), including print and digital materials. The CQS will consult with marketing content owners and negotiate with promotional review team members to resolve content barriers and ensure timely completion of post-approval content updates.
Exhibits traditional editorial/proofreading skills. Edit advertising, promotional, and educational projects to ensure a) accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and context; b) accuracy of references and other data; c) compliance with GSK corporate, American Medical Association (AMA), and FDA guidelines; d) correct usage and presentation of GSK trademarks, logos, and corporate branding; e) consistency and accuracy of layout components; and f) overall sense, continuity, consistency, and clarity: standardized, industry-specific editorial practices and methodologies ensure highest-quality printed, online, and digital content.- Assumes the risks and responsibilities required of the role as the key contact for changes to regulated GSK promotional content, including mediation and collaboration with team members.
- The CQS opens meetings, reviews agenda, and maintains team focus on review/comment resolution.
- Increases speed to market and reduces corrections costs by leveraging brand knowledge and software and system capabilities through in-layout asset content manipulation, resulting in real-time changes and continuous improvement mindset.
- Actualizes content in near/real time with use of Adobe software, InCopy, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word software for digital and print files.
- Records promotional review meeting performance metrics.
- Utilizes system expertise and subject matter expert policy and process knowledge to contribute to process improvement teams and drive enhancements that save resource and system time and fuel delivery of assets to customers and patients.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in content development, editing, and proofreading review
- Experience in content editing and proofreading aptitude
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in content development, editing, and proofreading review
- Pharmaceutical or life-science experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office software, PDF review tools, and file management
- Demonstrated business acumen, ability to influence leaders, and leadership without authority
- Experience running multi-stakeholder meetings and working with content management
- Ability for process improvement and problem solving
- Possesses interpersonal communications skills designed to influence and resolve conflict
