Job Description
Job Title: Connected Manufacturing Architect
Work Location: Chicago, IL + willing to travel to plant sites as needed
Duration: 6 months (contract-to-hire)
Education/Experience Required: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (a Master's degree or higher is a big plus!).
Job Description:
As our Connected Manufacturing Architect, you'll be at the forefront of evaluating, selecting, and integrating the most suitable platforms and tools to create an intelligent and efficient manufacturing environment for our company. You'll work closely with various teams and stakeholders to understand our unique needs and requirements, ensuring the best fit for our organization.
Responsibilities:

• Researching and evaluating leading-edge platforms and tools within the Connected Manufacturing space, from IoT and automation to data analytics and AI.
• Assessing the compatibility of various solutions with our existing infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement.
• Create and present "as-is/current and "to-be/future states of the Connected Manufacturing environment
• Construct CAD > CAM visualization matrix
• Develop Product and Tooling plan including tying the plans to the tool architecture for specific locations, equipment, and processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive and strategic Connected Manufacturing roadmap.
• Guiding the implementation and integration of chosen platforms and tools, while ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to our operations

Skills & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (a Master's degree or higher is a big plus!).
• In-depth knowledge of various Connected Manufacturing platforms, tools, and technologies, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new ones.
• Technology agnostic approach to selecting the right Connected Manufacturing services for our environment preferably having had hands-on experience with at least 2-3 different platforms such as Siemens NX CAM, PLC; Panacea, SolidWorks CAM, Autodesk Fusion 360, ThingWorx, TopSolid CAD/CAM
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A problem-solving mindset and a strong desire to innovate and drive change in the manufacturing industry.
