Job Description
- Selects, qualifies, approves, documents, and manages purchased components and direct material required for manufacturing;
- Analyzes and qualifies interchangeable parts from sources outside the organization;
- Finds alternate components for discontinued/obsolete components;
- Maintains great working relationships with vendors and suppliers, including required documentation to support internal and external audits.
- BS degree in electronics or electrical engineering;
- Experience with writing and reviewing engineering change orders (ECOs) to component-level procurement and test control documents;
- 3+ years’ experience working in an electronic manufacturing environment with PCBA and Wire & Cables;
- Experience working with ERP systems a must and (M1) preferred;
- Results-oriented and customer service drove;
- Ability to effectively communicate, and collaborate with others to achieve company goals;
- A high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and regulatory agencies;
- Experience with supplier selection and supplier performance ratings;
- Experience negotiating pricing, issuing purchase orders, and able to recognize the potential for cost and inventory reductions;
- IPC-A-620 and/or IPC-A-610 certifications desired.
