Job Description
At Mbanq Cloud, we are enabling FinTechs, neobanks, challenger banks, and credit unions to bring innovative financial services to the market in a matter of weeks rather than years, by providing access to payment rails, card issuing and acquiring services, compliance services, and white-labeled web & mobile apps, in addition to our core banking solutions.
Under the supervision of the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for compliance-related activities including investigating, researching, analyzing and evaluating complex account transactions and reports to mitigate regulatory and compliance risk, as well as assuring the quality of service is consistent with Mbanq’s policies, standards and expectations.
- Review daily/weekly/monthly BSA/AML alert reports and document actions including non-filing and filing of SARs where needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with BSA requirements and in accordance with regulatory deadlines.
- Suspicious Activity Response - Investigate escalated alerts of potential suspicious activity produced or referred by other areas of the company and determine appropriate course of action.
- Watch List Response - Ensure Watch List information is properly maintained and updated, review and respond to concerns about OFAC, SDN or other Watch List alerts and take mandated action as necessary.
- Support the Compliance Department to ensure and maintain Mbanq’s compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in formulating and coordinate implementation of internal control strategies, ensuring all systems and procedures are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Review departmental compliance and operational processes and recommend enhancements to mitigate compliance risk and ensure the company’s compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, laws, and policies.
- Meet with Mbanq clients to discuss and provide recommendations for corrective action for compliance monitoring findings
Requirements
- Combination of training and experience that would provide the knowledge and abilities listed above including specific knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to financial institutions (i.e., BSA, AML, OFAC, USA Patriot Act)
- Minimum 4 years experience in a transaction monitoring and SAR writing.
- Proficient with all MS Office products.
- Technical experience with browsers, software, and hardware.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive
