Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates is looking for a Compliance Operations Manager to join our team in Louisville! The Compliance Operations Manager provides day to day leadership and management of the department quality staff and assures effort in alignment with KODA's mission and core values. The Manager is responsible for the coordination of successful inspection and survey activities, quality assurance of donor records and documentation, and audit process management.

The Manager's primary task is to ensure organization compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards through ongoing and effective quality assurance activities. This role is responsible for providing direction, education and mentoring to the team to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness in the department. The Compliance Manager is a member of KODA's leadership team.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below.

Specific functions may change from time to time.Audit Process Management* Oversees the coordination of internal and external audits, inspections and surveys and ensures timely and effective responses to requests for corrective actions and inquiries.* Develops and executes an annual audit schedule and ensures that direct focused audits are conducted as necessary.Quality Assurance of Donor Records and Documentation* Coordinates the process for the release of donor records in a manner that assures the safety, security, and confidentiality of donor information in accordance with legal request.* Monitors the quality assurance status of donor records, including timely and accurate reviews and overall turnaround time and closure.* Ensures accurate submission of required clinical data elements and information in accordance with established timeframes and as required by external entities.* Provides to the appropriate department, and participates in, recommendations for quality assurance improvements, training, and competency opportunities.Departmental Management and Operations* Directs the strategy, training, competencies, and evaluation of department positions responsible for quality assurance activities.* Supervises and evaluates the effectiveness of all quality assurance activities.* Ensures department Standard Operating Procedures and Forms are current, effective, and align with applicable accreditation standards and regulations* And are reviewed annually.* Provides routine data related to quality assurance metrics and established targets.* Responsible for ensuring ongoing competence of staff through development and implementation of a comprehensive orientation program, ongoing education and training, and focused learning and training activities.* Manages relevant staff documentation and day-to-day operational activities (timesheets, expense reports, seminar, PTO requests, and performance evaluations).* Fosters a cooperative work environment that emphasizes our Core Values, teamwork and achievement within the organization, with other leaders, employees, and industry colleagues.* Ensures an effective Vendor/Supplier Qualification process and that selected vendors, suppliers and services conform to specified requirements.Organizational Compliance* Collaborates with KODA Leadership to ensure organizational compliance with CMS, UNOS, FDA, AATB standards and regulations, as well as all internal KODA organizational policies and procedures.* Serves as subject matter expert for compliance to current industry standards, guidelines and accreditation and regulatory requirements, including donor records and health information practices, audit practices and operational processes.Leadership Team Participation and Other Duties* Actively participates as a member of KODA's leadership team.* Demonstrates and understanding of the mission, vision, and values, using them as a point of reference and keeping them at the forefront of decision-making and personal actions.* Consistently and effectively plans and executes both long- and short-term goals with the overall organizational goals in focus, adjusting plans as needed.* Attends relevant local, regional, and national meetings as required or assigned to represent the interests of KODA and study best practices to equip the team and organization with the necessary tools for success.* Assists the Chief Quality Officer in the annual review of the organization's Business Continuity Plan and associated program activities to maintain emergency preparedness and accreditation and regulatory compliance.Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Management, Allied Health or similar field required. Extensive related management experience may substitute for educational requirements for exceptional candidates.Experience: Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience required. Minimum of three to five years of quality/compliance experience required; healthcare related quality compliance preferred.

Donation/transplantation industry experience preferred. Consideration may be given to those possessing quality related certifications (ASQ, IHI, etc.) in lieu of meeting minimum quality experience requirements.Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Quality related certification preferred but not required.Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, occasional lifting (up to twenty pounds), finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and visual acuity.* This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other electronic equipment is required.* Must have the ability to speak clearly and hear at normal speaking levels to convey information to external partners and vendors as well as staff.* Vision must be correctable to 20/20.* Must have the ability to wear provided personal protective clothing and equipment when needed and to follow all established safety and health standards.* Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation sufficient to meet the scheduling and travel needs of the position.Skills and Qualifications: Leadership ability required; ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities; ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities keeping workflow constant; ability to meet timelines; ability to maintain effective working relationships and to establish the highest integrity with others to coordinate work in order to meet objectives.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to analyze and use data to assist staff in quality assurance activities to promote positive change.* Ability to plan, organize, and execute complex tasks and projects that require coordination and cooperation among staff members and others outside KODA.* Ability to work in a leadership and supervisory capacity including the ability to contribute toward employee development and provide appropriate feedback.* Ability to work effectively as a member of the leadership/management team and to promote teamwork among the staff.* Ability to work effectively in stressful situations.WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS* This position requires working within an office and virtual meeting environment.
