Position Title:Commercial Loan Servicer 1Department:  Loan OperationsPosition Reports to: Assistant Commercial Loan Servicing ManagerPosition Supervises: No Direct Reports

 

Position Summary:

The Commercial Loan Servicer 1 is responsible for ensuring Commercial loans process on the mainframe system as directed by the note, while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.  This includes the responsibility of any ancillary systems needed to service the loan. Demonstrate and implement our OWN IT core values to all internal and external customers. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide quality customer service in a professional, timely, and efficient manner to all Internal and External customers of the bank using the banks OWN IT core values.

·         Basic data entry processing, understands how some fields in various applications affect changes made to avoid errors that would impact customer relations.

·         Basic knowledge of Premier Bank’s policies and procedures, demonstrates ability to apply knowledge to make decisions that are within the individuals bounds.

·         Responsible for completion of time sensitive job duties and ensuring completeness of those deadlines established within government and state regulatory requirements. This includes providing prompt crediting of payments and non-posted payments as well as prompt payoff statements.

·         Completes department self-assessments.

·         Performs maintenance and monetary transactions as instructed.

·         Provides timely and accurate research services as needed.

·         Daily completion of swap loans, sweeps, automatic transfers, participation payments, SBA loans, construction draws, some general ledger balancing, and other servicing related functions.

·         Familiar with consumer complaints with regards to FCRA guidelines and when to escalate those complaints.

·         Prepare letters, wire instructions, and reports as instructed.

·         Provide quality assurance over loan documentation, collateral perfection, UCC filing, and insurance tracking.

·         Completes other duties as assigned.

Education, Certification, License and Experience:

·         High school graduate or equivalent.

·         0-3 years of banking or related experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

·         Understanding of Bank’s policies and procedures; Understanding of applicable regulations and laws; Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the assigned fields.

·         Must have understanding of the network, knowledge of loan types, products, the core banking system and excellent customer service skills. Knowledgeable on PC’s, Excel, and Word needed.

·         Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position.

·         Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.   The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity.
