POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE

ADMINISTRATOR

Department: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: IT Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Cloud & Infrastructure Administrator’s role is to ensure the responsibility for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining cloud services. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems promptly and accurately and provide end-user training where required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change:

  1. Testing and implementing cloud-based services
  2. Developing and maintaining secure and reliable cloud infrastructure
  3. Overseeing and coordinating the delivery of solutions
  4. Optimizing the architecture and infrastructure of various cloud providers
  5. Providing support for security policies and procedures
  6. Securing code quality and maintaining code integrity
  7. Providing technical leadership to the team
  8. Developing and maintaining technical documentation
  9. Supports the implementation and improvement of hardware and software infrastructure updates as needed and supports integration with the cloud infrastructure—practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  10. Collaborates with various stakeholders on the strategic vision for the enterprise leveraging cloud-managed solutions and traditional capabilities; makes recommendations on new solutions and technologies.
  11. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values in carrying out Carolinas Telco’s mission and vision.
  12. Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  1. Systems infrastructure is properly developed and maintained.
  2. Any service disruptions are promptly addressed and resolved, minimizing impact to users and the credit union.
  3. Management is informed in a timely manner of any significant problems related to computer/technical activities.
  4. Exhibits ongoing commitment to the enactment of organizational core values.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of Degree (10 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  2. Proven experience in the development and implementation of secure cloud solutions
  3. Strong knowledge of configuration management tools
  4. Proficiency with Azure technologies
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
