The role of the Claims Analyst is to investigate and resolve claims while following Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. processes
- Investigate and determine the proper course of action for new, interline and disputed claims
- Keep accurate and complete records throughout the claim investigation process
- Work with Claims Supervisor on accounts with a high claim ratio
- Assist Claims Supervisor with administrative duties when they are out of the office
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Teams
- Strong attention to detail and processes
- Experience with or knowledge of OS&D (Over, Short and Damaged) is a plus
