Chiropractor (Contracted)

Mount Sinai Wellness Center is looking for a Licensed Chiropractor to be responsible for helping patients achieve better spinal alignment and pain relief. Areas of focus include meeting with patients to discuss their current ailments, summarizing potential treatment options for patients and using their hands or specific tools to alleviate musculoskeletal pain.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform intake assessment by listening to patients' concerns and reviewing medical records
• Physically examine patients by testing their reflexes and posture
• Record patient data and keep detailed records of every treatment session in MSWC electronic health record
• Use chiropractic techniques to diagnose neuromusculoskeletal conditions
• Perform skeletal adjustments to relieve pain within a patient's body
• Consult with patients and offer techniques and ideas for them to improve their physical health and comfort
• Refer patients to see other types of specialists when necessary
• Report any clinical or medical issues to the patient's treatment team
• Collaborate with clinical and medical treatment teams to gain insight into patients' diagnoses that might impact their chiropractic treatment

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Chiropractor Licensure
• Doctorate degree preferred
• At least 3+ years of experience
• Prior experience working with substance abuse disorders, pain management, and PTSD survivors preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in order to build relationships with patients
• Ability to empathize with patients who are in chronic pain and a strong desire to help improve their quality of life
• Must be able to think critically and make judgments about how best to help patients
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit treatment team of both clinical and medical providers
• Up to date on the latest chiropractic practices and a desire to provide cutting-age care
• Must be in good physical condition and have the dexterity and strength to perform adjustments and manipulations on patients
