Our client is an amazing major non-profit organization that provides early child-care services to those of low-income communities, scattered throughout California. The locations are Canoga Park, Van Nuys, Arleta, Palmdale, and Lancaster.

Teacher's Aids- 12 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field
Teacher's Assistants- 24 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field
Teachers- Bachelor's Degree and 24 units ofChildhood Education/Child Development or related field
While working under the Center Director, you will be responsible for providing quality preschool services for children enrolled in their Head Start program. You will promote activities designed to stimulate learning in all developmental domains, and encourage Family Engagement in all aspects of the program.
You will also:
- Develop individual goals for the children
- Provide ongoing assessment of progress and facilitate transition activities into kindergarten.
- Plan and implement center services, and make sure the center operates successfully from opening to closing.
- Developing the curriculum to age-appropriate activities which may take place indoors or outdoors.
- Adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of all children, which include risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
- Partnering with the parent to provide care for all preschoolers, which includes feeding and diapering.
- Provide and participate in all classroom and parent conferences, MDTM, home visits, IEP/IFSP processes, and meetings as well as staffing meetings.
- Ensuring reports required by the Agency and the State are adequate and timely
- Submitting weekly lesson plans that are accurate and timely to the Center Director for Review
- Ensure consistent adherence to Suspected Child Abuse reporting policies, procedures, and documentation by all center and regional staff.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position. First shift, from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Monday to Friday (40 hours).

This is what we are looking for in your candidacy:
- You have at least 1+ years of experience working with families and children in a preschool setting, or other related work experience in child development.
- You hold a valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate upon hire, or within 30 days of hire.
- You hold and maintain a current California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Teacher Permit or above based on the CTC Matrix upon hire, or apply within 60 days of hire.
- You can keep calm in an emergency
- You are open to occasional travel, which includes attending meetings, training, and sponsored events.
- You MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish OR English and Armenian
