Staff (Child and Family) Therapist
La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Staff Therapist for our Behavioral Health unit in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary:
La Rabida is currently recruiting a full-time Staff Therapist to join our behavioral health department in Chicago, IL. We are a small children’s acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma. Functions in an independent and professional manner to provide high-quality behavioral health services to outpatient clients and their families.
Essential Staff Therapist Functions:
Has training and experience working with behavioral and mood disorders in children and adolescents
Has experience in usage of evidenced based models of care
Independently conducts clinical intake assessments and assigns DSM 5/ICD-10 diagnosis
Issues and scores various scales and measures to evaluate functioning and for diagnostic clarification
Conducts individual, family and group therapy
Provides case management and advocacy for clients
Provides support to department colleagues as needed
Provides both care in outpatient setting and during medical clinics
Provides coverage for colleagues as needed
Works 3 evenings a week to provide family friendly hours
What we need from you:
Active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license in good standing with the State of Illinois
At least one year of experience in delivering behavioral health care to children and adolescents
CPR required: Only certifications issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross will be accepted
