- Provides individual, family, and group counseling to children, adolescents, and their families; provides clinical assessments, intakes, and develops treatment plans; works with referrals from local Court Service Units and Family Assessment and Services Teams; provides community education, consultation, and emergency services.
- Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia required.
- Successful completion of the graduate level coursework required from the licensing board to begin licensure supervision/residency must be documented on the graduate degree transcript and provided upon request
- Must be approved and registered with the appropriate board for licensure supervision as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or LSATP within six months of hire
- Must obtain professional licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or LSATP in Virginia within six months of completing supervision/residency
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification as a pre-screener for emergency hospitalization in Virginia within six months of hire
- Virginia licensed as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or LSATP
- One year experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families
- Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.
