An ADP Client, Welch State Bank is actively seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join their team in Miami, Oklahoma.

About the COO Role:
Welch State Bank is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join their team. This role will report to the President and will be responsible for overseeing ongoing business operations in the Information Technology, Facilities, and Operations.
The COO supervises 4 direct reports & 4 indirect reports. This position oversees:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Collaborate as a member on the leadership team on bank-wide strategic planning initiatives and corporate direction.
• Ensures strategic objectives are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress.
• Develop, maintain, and update effective strategies, policies, and procedures for supervised areas.
• Ensure plans, policies and procedures are in accordance with laws, regulations, industry trends and, and further Bank initiatives.
• Identify questionable actions, operational inefficiencies, and collaborates with employees to resolve issues and challenges.
• Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
• Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge on all bank products and services. Analyzes competitors' products and services and suggests changes or enhancements as appropriate.
• Provide leadership and direction to supervised areas staff. Ensures that staff is well-trained, effective, and optimally used.
• Monitors individual performance and effectiveness.
• Implements correction actions as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
• College level classes in accounting and/or Finance or Business Administration required.
• 10-15 years prior experience in banking operations, including duties and responsibilities as a COO and effectively managing direct & in-direct reports.
• In-depth familiarity/knowledge of different business functions such as Regulatory Compliance, Deposit Operations, Electronic Funds Transfers, Electronic Payment Services, Loan Processing, Banking Services and Information Technology/Business Infrastructure/End of Day Processing.
• Currently live within 45 minute drive of Miami/Welch, OK; or has ties to the area and looking to relocate long-term to area.
• The position is an in-person position at 2227 E Steve Owens Blvd, Miami, OK 74354.
