Check Adjustments Specialist I

Employment Type: Part-Time
Job Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for the daily processing of all Check Adjustments to and from the Federal Reserve and any internal deposit and check corrections, in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:  

1. Retrieves and processes daily incoming Federal Reserve adjustments.
2. Researches and processes daily incoming check adjustment emails.
3. Sends outgoing Check Adjustments to the Federal Reserve in a timely manner.
4. Reviews reconciliation once per week and reports completed adjustment list to the Balancing Analysis team.
5. Records any write-offs under the current adjustment threshold amount.
6. Communicates directly with other banking/financial institutions to resolve issues, if necessary.
7. Maintains thorough and accurate files and records regarding Check Adjustments.
8. Escalates complex Check Adjustments when necessary.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.
10. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
11. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

4. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

8. Ability to work without close supervision
9. Ability to work extended hours as needed
10. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
