Job Description
Cagenix is seeking a ceramist to assist our ceramics team with the processing and finishing of cases that range from single crowns to full mouth implant-based restorations.
Overview: Applicants should have a working knowledge of zirconia, porcelain, stain and glaze. Experience with implant-based restorations is not necessary but a major plus for hiring.
Ceramist Responsibilities:
- Primary Responsibilities
- Review production reports, PO’s and Work Orders for Cases
- Process cases in the appropriate gingiva shade
- Use of hand piece and lathes for contouring and polishing porcelain and Zr
- Confirm fit and contours of restoration against customer’s stone cast
- Use of appropriate implant parts (screws, analogs, abutments) for implant based cases
- Confirming appropriate tooth and gingiva shade as noted by PO or Work Order
- Perform Initial Inspection of completed cases
- Additional
- Monitor inventory for lab supplies.
- Assist with additional Lab Work, including but not limited to cementation of copings, performing function tests.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, coworkers
- Practice line clearance for every case
Qualifications:
- Previous experience preferred but not required
- High School Degree
- Associate/Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
While undertaking the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, you will be required to go to all areas of the company and may be required to stand for a length of time. The associate may be required to repeatedly sit, walk, bend, stoop, & listen. Good vision, color sense, dexterity will be needed for detailed work and handling of small materials.
