Central Office Installer – All Skill Levels

SUMMARY


Pearce Services LLC currently has Urgent openings for DC Power Plant Technicians and Central Office Installation Technicians! All skills National Level 3 and 2 Telecommunications Installation Technician considered if you have Central Office Installation Experience. AT&T, Verizon, and CLEC experience a Plus! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must have mastered installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and be able to perform all the duties of the Installer Level 3 or 2 with a high degree of competence and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive equipment installation skills on a wide variety of installations and systems, including AC/DC Power systems, low/high-density fiber systems, Central Office Infrastructure, and supervisory /alarm systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all general company policies and practices, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply job/equipment specifications, installation documents, and schematics.
  • Work on multiple projects which may have several locations.

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3+ years of installation experience or combination of experience and training as determined by company management.
  • Experience with AT&T and Verizon Central Office installation practices is a plus.
  • DC Power Installation experience is a plus (hot cuts/slides/transfers Level IV Skill only.)
  • High school diploma with two years of technical school or a combination of training and experience related to the communications installation field of 3 plus years.
  • Ability to pull Signal and Power Cables, as necessary.
  • Ability to crimp, lug, terminate, stitch and lace cable to 750 MCM, Fiber, and misc. cable as required.
  • Ability to install and construct all types of infrastructure in the Central Office environment
  • Ability to rack, stack, and secure equipment bays/cabinets
  • Ability to install fiber duct systems.
  • Ability to travel as necessary in the region to meet project needs. Expenses are 100% paid by the employer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a variety of personal tools necessary to complete advanced assignments and installations.
  • Must be able to vertically lift 50lbs. Required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass all pre-employment background checks, and be insurable. (Company truck assignment available)
