Position Summary: As a CDL Flatbed Driver with Guardrail Installation responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of materials, as well as actively contributing to guardrail installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL license, a proven track record of safe driving, and experience in hands-on construction work related to guardrail installation.
Responsibilities:
CDL Flatbed Driving:
- Safely operate and maintain company-provided CDL Class A vehicles.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle.
Guardrail Installation:
- Assist in the installation of guardrails, safety barriers, and related infrastructure.
- Follow project specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise installation.
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete construction tasks as assigned.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during driving and construction activities.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or accidents promptly.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and open communication with supervisors, team members, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and any issues that may arise during transportation or installation activities.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and construction equipment.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in flatbed driving and guardrail installation preferred.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
