Tetra Tech is currently seeking a CADD Technician for our Geosynthetics group in Houston, Texas.
This is an in-office role with a work schedule of 8am-5pm CST M-F.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handling all support aspects to assist the project management / estimating department.
- Reading Engineering Drawings and using AutoCAD to perform take-offs, drafting panel layout drawings, details, and as-built drawings.
- Candidate requires attention to detail.
- Good organization, communication, and computer skills mandatory.
- Applicant’s duties also include typing, emailing, and tracking proposals, and maintaining job files.
- Assist reviewing project bid form, specifications, geosynthetic material required, safety requirements, etc.
- Work with vendors to obtain material pricing.
- Must be able to multi - task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be very organized and think on their feet.
Requirements & Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 year of experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read Technical Drawings.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
- Must have an excellent telephone manner and good typing skills.
- Must be detail and results-oriented, personable, and work well in a group setting.
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
