Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide drafting support to the engineering team using AutoCAD. Modeling and drawing include designs for Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC) systems and subsystems, ATC cab layouts, and outside plant ancillary equipment such as mobile radar, mobile communications shelters, runway lighting, etc.

Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Six or more years of direct, hands-on experience providing drafting support for the Department of Defense.
• Expert knowledge of how to use AutoCAD features and functionality
• Experience using Print2CAD or similar PDF to DWG conversion software
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; manipulating tables in Excel for import into a drawing
• Full understanding of a Bill of Materials (parts list, list of equipment) and how it relates to drawings
• Experience attaching external references to drawings (such as using XREFS)
• Collaboration with engineering teams, assisting with design, and incorporating redlines into drawings
• Configuration management of drawings
• Creating 2 and 3 dimensional models
• Experience with Installation Drawing Packages, Technical Drawing Packages, and As-Built Drawing Packages

DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Past, direct experience with USAF technical drawing packages; experience with Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and subsystems is highly desired
