About the position:

The Foxconn Indiana team is currently seeking a Buyer - Direct Material. As a key member of the procurement team, your primary duties will include supporting supply chain management processes (purchasing, logistics, inventory), maintaining relationships with suppliers, and optimizing costs.

Assignments & Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate material recovery updates daily.
• Purchase order placement and follow-up.
• Create, review, and send reports (Hold, Risk, DPS, Parts not Posted, etc.).
• Customs clearance review and approval (IOR/HTS/301).
• Manage site balance, transfer, and sale requests.
• Work with HP, suppliers, and internal departments to solve any material issues.
• Hold new product introduction meetings with Engineering and Operation teams for new builds.
• Review the bill of materials and follow up with the engineering teams.
• Claim management (price variance, duty, freight).
• Manage excess and obsolete inventory.

What We're Looking For: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or relevant field.
• Experience in using Office 365 with strong Excel skills required. 
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, material planning, or related area is preferred.
• Experience in systems using include SAP, Power BI, or other proprietary systems is preferred.
• Capable of multitasking and handling a high volume of correspondence throughout the day
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good visual acuity, hearing or speaking is required
