Founded in 1892, iA Financial Group's stability and solidity make it an employer of choice that invests in its employees and their development over the long term.Position Summary The BI QA Analyst Lead engages with the Business Analysts, BI Developers and DW Developers to translate requirements into test cases. This role requires a strong understanding of SQL, business requirement analysis, data analysis, data validation, data warehouse concepts, and data warehouse architecture, as well as an innate curiosity around wanting to understand business processes, business strategy and strategic business initiatives to help drive incremental business value from enterprise data assets. Essential Duties

• Develop the overarching QA strategy for the BI team
• Work with other leads in the team to define processes that can lead to creation of data quality scorecard and support data unification process
• Work with Business Analysts, BI Developers and DW Developers to translate Business requirements into Test Cases
• Liaison with our vendor QAs to bridge the QA strategies and deliverables
• Participate in requirements and use case/user story reviews
• Create and/or oversee the creation and approval of project test cases
• Oversee or generate all QA-related documentation
• Ensure adherence to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards
• Execute timely test cases and adhere to test schedule
• Log defects against production deficiencies as well as issues identified during the testing phase
• Provide estimates on testing tasks
• Provide weekly QA status reports
• Recommend software testing and software engineering policies, standards, procedures, and best practices to improve testability and reliability of new and existing systems
• Research and recommend testing tools
• Mentor business users in the areas of functional testing and processes

Education, Work Experience and Training Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of related experience

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

• Experience in quality assurance working on BI and data warehouse projects
• Experience testing in one or more of the following: BI testing, database testing, and functional testing
• Experience of writing highly complex SQL queries - capable of constructing the SQL statements to implement data & BI test cases
• Knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and QA methodology
• Sound testing, resource planning, and test scheduling skills
• Ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Knowledge of ETL Tools will be a plus
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills and to interpret technical material to internal & external clients
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid research and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple projects
• Ability to analyze and think critically
• Ability to keep work well organized and prioritize well
• Ability to receive direction and work with supervisors well
• Ability to work independently as well as function effectively as a team player
