Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights to support business decision-making processes. This role involves analyzing data from various sources, designing, and maintaining BI solutions, and providing reports and visualizations to key stakeholders. This role also builds and maintains BI standards and best practices to guide BI Power users.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify and build data repositories for business analytics, metrics, and reporting.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and others.
  • Develop and maintain queries and reports with ERP based reporting tool.
  • Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  • Build and maintain Power BI usage standards for development, validation, and dissemination of data to the business community.
  • Collaborate with BI Power users on application of standards, knowledge transfer, and deployment of best practices.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability and integrity of data in data warehouses and other storage systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through data analysis.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
  • Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, business analyst, or BI analyst.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with BI and Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and Data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Desktop Specialist are advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Working Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Considerable time will be spent working within an office environment as well as on the production floor. The incumbent will be exposed to long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Exposure to loud noises from production equipment and moving mechanical parts will also occur.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel objects, equipment, or controls; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and /or hear. The associate frequently is required to stoop, kneel, bend or crouch, and travels up and down stairs.

The BI and Data Analyst may be required to push, pull and lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
