Business Development Associate/Manager/Sr. Manager

Position Responsibilities/Major Duties
- Seek the licensing opportunities through different channels, arrange meetings, follow up with potential partners, and set up information database to track the progress.
- Communicate with internal function teams to collect information to support the partnering discussion and due diligence. Responsible for compiling information to prepare and draft various documents, reports and communication deliverables in English and Mandarin, including slide decks, program progress reports, conference summary, meeting minutes, product landscape analysis.
- Organize the data for due diligence, coordinate the review and approval process by respective internal teams. Help to deliver accurate and timely updates and findings, and work with BD director to provide information for regular review and decision making at senior management level.
- Work closely with internal departments, including but not limited to country/regional leadership team, R&D, IP, Finance, Legal, Targets Committee and Corporate Strategy to coordinate in and out licensing and collaboration transactions under instruction of BD Director.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of each alliance agreement to ensure all parties to adhere to their obligations including generation of scientific data, finances, timelines, reporting, disclosures, and decision-making.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external teams to make sure the program activities are well-coordinated and organized.
- Deal with potential issues proactively to ensure that objectives of the alliance are met.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Biology or other life sciences majors from a top university in the US is required.
- Advanced post-graduate degrees including Masters, Ph.D. in Biology or Medicine, or MBA is preferred. Master’s in Finance or MBA is desirable.
- As least 1-5 years of experience in working for a pharmaceutical/biotech company in business development or being involved in licensing with BD deals. Those with more/ less experience may also be considered for Associate, Manager, or Sr. Manager level positions.
- Experience in oncology therapeutic areas is a strong plus
- Outstanding teamwork and communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written) including an ability to communicate complex issues simply
- The ability to communicate in Mandarin.
- Must be highly motivated, goal oriented, diligent, attentive to detail, organized, and self-started with orientation towards a high level of customer service.
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Travel:
- Travel may be required to visit partners, related companies and attending conferences domestically and internationally. Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required to successfully perform the assigned role.
- Requires approximately 20%
